Fixing Your Bible's Spine

The spine of every Bible is perhaps the most important and most often overlooked. This is where the day in and day out wear on your Bible will take place. This is why we take the time to rebuild every spine (new or rebinds).

Step 1: We remove the old material (mull, glue, ribbons and headbands)

Step 2: We add new mull and bookbinding glue. (Mull is like a nylon netting that helps pull your Bible back together).

Step 3: We add new headbands and custom ribbons.

Step 4: Once your spine has dried we then add plastic strengthening pieces. IMPORTANT - This does not impact your Bible laying flat. This will make your spine very strong.

Step 5: We wrap the mull and spine in canvas to strengthen it even further and to ensure that it will stay to gether for many years to come.

Strong spines are essential.
