The Spine of Your Bible Should Not Be Flush Against The Cover

From time to time we encounter this question:

Is the spine of my Bible not connected to the cover? What is this gap? (Above is my Bible made of waterproof paper/pages)

And the answer is yes it is connected and better than ever. All books connect the cover most use paper end sheets. When you get a Bible rebound the connection is no longer paper (which almost never fails and is a terrible way to do this). The connection is not part of the cover and runs the length of most of the Bible.

The whole cover made of two pieces of leather is now completely attached to the rebuilt spine of the actual Bible, this is very strong.

It is now connected to the rebuilt spine as part of the cover. This attachment runs the length of the Bible and glued directly to the rebuilt re-enforced spine. The gap between your spine is good (every book does this, but this is good an allows your cover to fit properly and is not structural at all. :)
